Where to Stay in Tanjung Bungah

On the way back down to Georgetown from Batu Ferringhi, you’ll pass by the Tanjung Bunggah (‘Cape of Flowers’) Beach – although there are beaches closer to Georgetown, this strip is the first real shoreline near the city that’s worth a stopover. 12km from the city centre, it’s not as pristine as Batu Ferringhi and the waters are not ideal for swimming but it has its appeal. Further down the road is Pualu Tikus, with some discos, cinemas, shopping malls and a few dining venues.
